Now that the ink on my contract is dry, and my first piece has gone live today, I'm psyched to announce I have been hired as a freelance writer for IFC.com, the official website for the IFC Channel, which is part of the AMC Networks family. I will be one of their Doctor Who contributors (they occasionally air the program in their lineup and do cross-promoting with sister channel, BBC America) as well as contributing other film/TV content in relation to programs airing each month. It's very exciting that someone wants to actually pay me to write, and I'm pleased that it is IFC giving me that opportunity first as I've always felt my writing embodies their slogan, "always on, slightly off."
